American Novelist, Short-Story Writer and Poet
American novelist Stephen Crane is best known for his classic book The Red Badge of Courage. His use of realism in his stories immensely influenced future American writers.

Stephen Crane was born in Newark, New Jersey on November 1, 1871, the 14th child and the youngest, of a Methodist minister, Reverend Townley Crane, and Mary Helen Peck Crane.

Biography of Robert Louis Stevenson, novelist, poet and travel writer, famous for classic novels Treasure Island, Kidnapped and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (November 13, 1850–December 3, 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, travel writer, and a leading advocate of Neo-romanticism in English literature. He was greatly admired by many authors including Ernest Hemingway, Rudyard Kipling, Vladimir Nabokov. Most modernist writers dismissed him because he was popular and did not write within their definition of literature. It is only recently that critics have begun to look beyond is popularity and give him a place in the literary world.
