I think Joseph Conrad’s work is sheer brilliance – he covered timeless themes in such an excellent way. I read Heart of Darkness back when I was in high school but I don’t think I really appreciated the full depth of it. I recently came across it as an audio book available for free download on the site http://www.audiobooks.net/audiobooks_free.php?searchPageNum=2&searchTitle=&searchAuthor=&searchKeyword=&sortBy=popularity&media=both&abridged=both&searchLetter=%&genre=%&subgenre=%&expanded=0 – which I’m really happy about as it will be a great way to ‘reread’ it with my really busy schedule.
