This day, September 30 (1924), American writer Truman Capote, was born.
Truman García Capote (Sept 30, 1924 – Aug 25, 1984) was an American writer whose non-fiction, stories, novels and plays are recognized literary classics. He is best known for In Cold Blood (1966) and the novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1958). At least 20 films and TV dramas have been produced from Capote novels, stories and screenplays.
